pay, then neither can be considered a dependent for housing
allowances.

Am I entitled BAH if I'm trying to claim my child and pay child support?
No, but service member is entitled BAH Differential. BAH-Diff is a housing allowance for service members who are assigned to locations where government housing is provided but are paying child support. It is generally the difference between the with-dependents and without-dependents BAH rate for your rank and is intended to help cover the difference because of the child support obligations. You are eligible for BAH-Diff under the following conditions:
- You Do Not Have Custody: You are paying adequate child support for your dependents, and the amount of child support is at least as much as the difference between the with-dependents and without-dependents BAH rates for your rank.
- Assigned Government Housing: You are assigned to or are eligible for government quarters, and you do not receive the regular BAH payment.
(DoD FMR), Volume 7A, Chapter 26, Paragraph 260504
Why do I have a debt on my LES for the month I was processed late?
When a service member is on PCS (Permanent Change of Station) leave, they are entitled to Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) and are not subject to meal deductions. However, if the service member was receiving entitlements in Korea as though they were on leave, these will be deducted once the processing is properly completed.
